WHAT ARE YOU UP TO NOW?

I’m now a Senior Research Analyst at a Research and Advisory firm called E Source. I focus on transportation electrification, energy efficiency, and utility regulation.

POST-INTERNSHIP HIGHLIGHTS

I left the internship and was lured into the fast(er) pace of the private sector. I joined a software startup using AI to support deep energy retrofits, and then joined a research and advisory firm supporting utilities with decarbonization programs and regulation a couple of years later. I also became Vice Chair of a local planning committee in my municipality.

HIGHLIGHT FROM THE INTERNSHIP

Digging deeper into parliamentary procedure and the role of process and regulation in setting and delivering on government policies.

HOW DID THE INTERNSHIP HELP YOU GET WHERE YOU ARE TODAY?

Now that I am working in a highly regulated environment (with electric utilities), it’s very useful to have an understanding of the guiding legislation so that I can help bridge the gap between legislation and the stakeholders who are actually impacted by it.
